This workshop is designed to teach you how to express yourself through your body. David will introduce concepts such as: body control, flow of movement and coordination He will fuse street style Latin dances like Salsa, Bachata, Reggaeton, and Samba with a modern Hip Hop feel and technique. The class starts with a warm up that will get everyone into the technique, which is heavily focused on “core” movements. We work through a few short patterns and use them to put together a combination. Throughout the class we will work on the musicality and rhythms that are unique to this style. Be prepared to sweat and have a great time! David's Bio David Polon has been dancing for as long as he can remember. A broad range of disciples and extensive Movement study influence his unique style. David’s repertoire includes Latin Funk, Salsa, Modern, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tango, Swing, and both American and International style ballroom dances. David first discovered “partner-dancing” in the Performing Arts High School he attended. After graduation, he went to work in the industry and has been dancing professionally ever since. Working in New York and Los Angeles, David has appeared on stage, screen and television, and has been involved in dance-related research projects, and large-scale benefits. He coached and choreographed for dance teams across the country, and his own dance companies have a reputation for pushing boundaries and giving tremendous performances. David says he often finds his greatest inspiration at 1am in the middle of a crowded nightclub, so you can always find him out at night, dancing his heart out.
